WHAT IS COPD?
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease is a slowly progressive lung disease that makes it hard to breathe.
The 3 forms are:
Emphysema (damage to lungs over time)
Chronic Bronchitis (inflamed bronchial tubes causing long-term cough with mucus)
Refractory Asthma (Asthma with persistent symptoms)
People with COPD often have 2 or 3 of these forms.
